Serena Maneesh - Drain Cosmetics
Dismally underrated band, and I’m the worst culprit of all. I allow myself, somehow, to forget just how outstanding their two albums are; especially Abyss In B Minor, a melting, bending journey into labyrinthine, confidently subtle themes with each element allowed to breathe beautifully. I forget just how well they understand shoegaze tones. I forget how fucking unrealistically brilliant Your Blood In Mine sounded live, sending me into a gibbering mess, ranting something to Tobias about “the kids have nailed it, they understand, they know.”
